Activities

Preaching in Guatemala began in the early 1990’s with the first baptism in 1995.

Currently there are 7 brethren in the ecclesia who form a nucleus which is actively involved in the organization of weekly memorial services and public lectures. Due to the size of the ecclesia, several pastoral visits are made each year to encourage the ecclesia. These visits are from both brothers and sisters in North America and local brethren from neighboring El Salvador. Their primary focus is on public proclamation and pastoral care. Recent internet advertising has led to new contacts taking the Bible correspondence course and there are occasional visitors to weekly public lectures. The ecclesial hall, a rented facility, is opened up weekly as a drop in centre where personal Bible discussions take place. With God’s blessing we pray that the ecclesia in Guatemala will increase in number.
